BELT TENSION METERS
Clavis has advanced options available that include belt meters that operate in Newtons (N), Pounds (Lbs), Kilogram-Force (KgF) and Hertz (Hz). In addition, the advanced meters come with a RS232 connector that each time a reading is taken the measurement value is transmitted through the RS232 serial port.
Type 5 Belt Meter
- 10Hz to 600Hz
The Type 5 Belt Meter is suitable for measuring frequencies in all types of belts and outputting measurements in Hertz (Hz) and Kilogram-Force (KgF). This belt meter is available in Optical and Acoustic.
Both the Type 5 Optical and Acoustic have a frequency measurement range of 10Hz to 600Hz.
The Kilogram-Force (KgF) value is calculated from the belt span and belt mass data, which is entered into the meter. Up to 3 sets of data may be stored in the meter for easy recall. The display may be changed from Hertz (Hz) to Kilogram-Force (KgF) by the press of a single key.

Based upon the measured belt frequency, the meter can calculate belt tensions up to 9,990 N (2,200 lbs).
